When they were leaving home on that particular morning, I was far from knowing that I would never see them alive again. What happened is beyond what anyone could have ever imagined. I saw my world changing within minutes. Losing two dear ones suddenly was like losing part of myself.

After all these, whenever my dad and I pass through the Caudan subway, it becomes difficult for us and the pain that this causes us is just unbearable. We have now opened a restaurant here in Curepipe.
Three years after this terrible tragedy, we are still trying to move on. Life is not the same anymore, but I give my all to keep my dad happy. I try to keep a smile, like I’m doing right now as this is the way my mum has always wanted me to be.”
